Skating in Holland

What have we seen so far?

images4Holland in full of canals and other man-made waterways. In the winter they freeze over, making them excellent highways for ice-skaters. As you will see from the video clips, it looks like a lot of fun.

The clips were made some time again, but we are seeing them for the first time. This gives us a good chance to practice using the present perfect. We will look at past events but we will do so from the standpoint of the present.

I have divided the video clip into the three parts. At the end of each part, we will stop to answer the question: What have we seen so far?

Begin by clicking on the first video. Watch once or twice or even three times and then look through the list of events and put a  +   in front of the events that you have seen. Then watch the second clip and add the events that you have seen up to this point. Finally, look at the last clip and add the remaining events. Be careful, there are some events in the list that you won't see.

What have we seen so far?
